The ShotGrid Production Manager will report to the Head of Production and will be the primary point of contact for SDA and SAM (Skydance Animation Madrid) ShotGrid users regarding ShotGrid implementation for feature animation workflows. The role involves acting as the main liaison for requirements, scheduling, and targets related to ShotGrid configuration, implementation, prioritization, and training. The manager will collaborate with the workflow team and studio leadership to implement necessary changes. Responsibilities Manage ShotGrid requests from production and supervisors. Collaborate with, provide requirements, and manage priorities for the Production Technology teams on pipeline needs related to ShotGrid. Work with stakeholders, including film production teams and studio management, to develop standardized workflows and best practices. Manage ShotGrid fields and templates for tracking and reporting. Create high-level views of data for forecasting and data extraction for production teams and studio leadership. Document new features and maintain existing documentation related to production workflows involving ShotGrid. Have a working knowledge of ShotGrid in VFX/animation production. Must be a clear and effective communicator to support studio needs. Unify multiple projects within ShotGrid using common tools to ensure consistency across the studio. Communicate and build consensus across shows for global changes to ShotGrid. Create documentation on the use of ShotGrid tools. Identify opportunities to improve user experience and reduce complexity to enhance productivity. Facilitate training sessions and workshops to ensure proficiency with ShotGrid. Engage in cross-departmental communication to understand production needs and optimize ShotGrid accordingly. Requirements BA/BS degree preferred. Understanding of feature film production workflows. At least 5 years of management experience in animation workflows, with direct experience in ShotGrid adoption, modification, and implementation. Knowledge of ShotGrid in VFX/animation production. Effective communication skills to assess and support studio needs. Strong computer skills, including ShotGrid, Excel, and MS Office. Experience with ShotGrid API for custom tools is a plus. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Flexibility to work non-standard hours as needed.
