We are only able to accept applicants who have the right to work in the UK and live within a commutable distance to the location of the job role. Successful applicants will have a minimum of 6 months experience, preferably in a similar role.

The Care Home is set just outside the Worcester city centre, with beautiful grounds and a 40-bed capacity. Staff offer dementia care, elderly care, end of life care, respite care, and nursing care, working closely with residents to ensure they have the care and attention required while maintaining their independence and dignity.

We are currently looking to recruit 2 Registered Nurses locally based, with a passion for providing exceptional, kind, personalised care that promotes choice, dignity, and respect for residents. Working as an RGN Nurse (Registered General Nurse) means:

  • Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records.
  • Administer nursing care to ill, injured, and long-term service users.
  • Behave in a professional and discreet manner at all times and in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code.
  • Be competent and confident in managing people with long-term health conditions.
  • Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions/treatments for service users with complex needs.
  • Proactively identify, diagnose, and manage treatment plans for service users (as appropriate).
  • Prioritise health problems and intervene appropriately to assist service users in complex, urgent, or emergency situations, including initiation of effective emergency care.
  • Recognise and work within your own competence level.
  • Produce accurate, contemporaneous, and complete records of service user interaction and consultation, consistent with legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Support, manage, and guide support workers on a daily basis.
  • Continual personal development to develop oneself and the role.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Provide direct patient care including wound dressing, bathing, feeding, and monitoring vital signs.
  • Document residents' health status and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Communicate with residents' family members and healthcare team about their condition and progress.
  • Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to residents and their families.
  • Supervise and train nursing assistants and junior nursing staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including sanitation and infection control.
  • Coordinate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors, therapists, and dietitians.

Skills and attributes necessary:

  • Prior experience as a Registered Nurse, at least one year in the UK.
  • Valid NMC PIN with no restrictions.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Passionate about delivering great care and supporting the residents and their families.
  • Experience working with the elderly.
  • Demonstrate an understanding and application of relevant legislation in relation to the role.
  • Able to deliver nursing care in a clinical environment.
  • Excellent skills and knowledge of the job role.
  • Proven experience in clinical settings is desirable.
  • Ability to communicate well at all levels is essential along with a flexible approach.
  • Team player.
  • Genuine interest in working within a care home setting.
  • Clear DBS and 2 satisfactory references.
  • Up-to-date knowledge in area of practice.
  • Awareness of NMC Code of Accountability.
