We are seeking a proactive and dependable Care Home Maintenance Technician to support a friendly and well-established care home environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual who takes pride in maintaining safe, comfortable, and welcoming surroundings for residents, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the care home environment
  • Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and building maintenance work
  • Maintain flooring, fixtures, fittings, and equipment
  • Replace light bulbs and ensure all areas are safe and well-presented
  • Conduct PAT testing and support health and safety compliance
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
  • Assist in maintaining a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for residents

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a maintenance role
  • Previous experience within a care home, healthcare, or similar setting is desirable
  • Good working knowledge of plumbing, electrics, and general building maintenance
  • Experience carrying out PAT testing
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload across multiple sites
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Reliable, practical, and proactive approach
