Mainly DAY SHIFTS. Care Home with Nursing in Fordcombe, Tunbridge Wells, Kent and another role for our home based in Hove, Brighton area. Sponsorship provided for the right applicant.

About the Care Home in Fordcombe:

Nestled in the Kent countryside, the Care Home is a peaceful facility with landscaped gardens, a wide variety of activities and amenities, and 50 bedrooms. Based in Fordcombe, just five miles from Royal Tunbridge Wells, this premises is situated close to many local amenities with excellent transport links.

Available Hours/Pay:

  • Full Time 34.5 hours per week
  • Long shifts 8am-8pm
  • Pay rate £20.5 - £22/hour

Our qualified nursing team are available 24 hours a day to provide medical and other forms of specialised support. Respecting patients and recognising them as unique individuals, our nurses provide not just high-quality nursing skills, but truly person-centred care.

About the Role:

The main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing a high standard of care to people with mental illness and personality disorder
  • Promoting the highest standards of clinical nursing throughout the Nursing Home
  • Overseeing the day-to-day care of patients and the administration of required medication
  • Providing nursing and personal care and promoting their abilities
  • Planning, implementing, and supervising the provision of quality care
  • Maintaining the required medical documentation
  • Upholding residents' rights to privacy, dignity, and choice
  • Leading shifts and mentoring and supporting student nurses and other members of the team
  • Familiarising yourself with, and strictly adhering to, company policy and procedure and Care Inspectorate guidelines

Please note we are only accepting candidates with a UK active PIN and right to work in the UK (sponsorship provided for the right candidate).

The main requirements for this role are:

  • Must be a MENTAL REGISTERED NURSE (current PIN number with NMC and experience in the UK) or a REGISTERED ADULT NURSE with UK based experience for at least 1 year
  • Live in the area or able to relocate
  • A genuine desire to work with the elderly
  • The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, along with excellent listening skills
  • The ability to supervise other staff members comfortably and competently
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
