Registered Nurse with at least 6 months UK based experience in a Nursing Home. With a recent CQC rating of good, our Nursing home provides care for up to 42 residents. The service is able to provide support for residential care, nursing care, palliative care, cancer care, visual, speech and hearing impairments, and Parkinson's disease. There is on-site parking available for visitors, and the home is situated close to public transport, making it easy to access for visitors and for residents to get out.
Hours of Work: Full time (Long 12‑hour shifts; night shifts available).
Ideal candidates should have good interpersonal skills, a caring, supportive, understanding and compassionate approach to their role, and the right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
Nurse Job Role: To be responsible for the assessment of the care needs of patients and the development, implementation, and evaluation of care plans under the direction of the Head Nurse, thereby ensuring that a high standard of care is delivered.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining accurate, complete health care records and reports
- Administering medications to patients and monitoring them for side effects/reactions
- Prescribing assistive medical devices and related treatments
- Monitoring standards of care delivered to our residents
- Ensuring resident needs are being met by interacting with them, resolving any problems where appropriate
- Reporting any ill‑health amongst residents and making requests for GP/Professional visits when needed
- Preparing, updating and evaluating Resident Care Plans
- General Nursing work and personal care as appropriate
- Attend relevant staff meetings
- Advising the Registered Care Manager of any incidents/accidents
- Ensuring there is a clear and concise handover at every shift
Essential Criteria:
- The right to work in the UK, valid NMC PIN without restrictions
- Previous working experience within a similar position
- Strong team skills
- Person centred, responsible
- A good communicator with good oral and written skills
- Aware of current Health and Safety Procedure
