Registered Nurse for our Nursing Home 81-bed care home located in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. You will be supporting a range of elderly residents with physical disabilities, dementia, palliative care, rehab etc within a home that is passionate about providing high quality care.
Hours of Work: Full time, Long shifts- 12-hour shifts.

Nurse Job Role
To be responsible for the assessment of the care needs of patients and the development, implementation, and evaluation of care plans under the direction of the Head Nurse, thereby ensuring that a high standard of care is delivered.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that nursing care is delivered in accordance with our policies and procedures.
- Report directly to the Registered Care Manager.
- Maintain accurate, complete health care records and reports.
- Administer medications to patients and monitor them for side effects/reactions.
- Prescribe assistive medical devices and related treatments.
- Supervise, develop and teach other care team members.
- Monitor standards of care delivered to our residents.
- Ensure all Day staff on your shift contribute to the best of their ability to the efficient running of the Home.
- Ensure resident needs are being met by interacting with them, resolving any problems where appropriate.
- Report any ill-health amongst residents and make requests for GP/Professional visits when needed.
- Prepare, update and evaluate Resident Care Plans.
- General Nursing work and personal care as appropriate.
- Attend relevant staff meetings.
- Advise the Registered Care Manager of any incidents/accidents.
- Ensure there is a clear and concise handover at every shift.
Essential Criteria
- Previous working experience within a similar position.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Flexible and used to working on own initiative.
- Strong team skills.
- Person centred.
- Responsible.
- Able and willing to undergo further appropriate training.
- A good communicator with good oral and written skills and able to undertake administrative duties within the role.
- Aware of current Health and Safety Procedure.

Requirements:
- The right to work in the UK.
- An experienced Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD). The service welcomes applications from all General Nurses, Mental Health Nurses and Learning Disability Nurses.
- Registered with a valid NMC Pin and full eligibility to live and have right to work in the UK.
