Nurse roles in Nursing Home settings. Two roles available: Registered General Nurse and Registered Mental Nurse. Mainly day shifts. Interviews online via Teams. Care Home with Nursing in Fordcombe, Tunbridge Wells, Kent and another role for our home based in Hove, Brighton area. Sponsorship provided for the right applicant.
About the Care Home
Nestled in the Kent countryside, the Care Home is a peaceful facility with landscaped gardens, a wide variety of activities and amenities, and 50 bedrooms. Based in Fordcombe, five miles from Royal Tunbridge Wells, the premises are close to local amenities with excellent transport links.
Available Hours and Pay
- Full Time 34,5 hours per week
- Long shifts 8am-8pm
- Pay rate £20.5 - £22 /hour
About the Role
Our qualified nursing team is available 24 hours a day to provide medical and other forms of specialised support. We focus on high-quality, person-centred care that respects patients as individuals.
Responsibilities
- Provide a high standard of care to people with mental illness and personality disorder
- Promote the highest standards of clinical nursing throughout the Nursing Home
- Oversee day-to-day care of patients and administer required medication
- Provide nursing and personal care and promote residents’ abilities
- Plan, implement, and supervise the provision of quality care
- Maintain the required medical documentation
- Uphold residents’ rights to privacy, dignity and choice
- At a senior level, lead shifts as well as mentor and support student nurses and other team members
- Familiarise yourself with, and strictly adhere to, company policy and procedure and Care Inspectorate guidelines
Requirements
- Must be a Mental Registered Nurse (current PIN with NMC and UK-based experience)
- Or a Registered Adult Nurse with UK-based experience for at least 1 year
- Live in the area or be able to relocate
- A genuine desire to work with the elderly
- Clear and concise communication with excellent listening skills
- Ability to supervise other staff comfortably and competently
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
