We have an exciting opportunity to join our team in Birmingham as a Registered General Nurse .

The home:
. This home provide dementia and general nursing care in a friendly and supportive environment.
- Location : Situated just two miles from the center of Birmingham, these homes offer care home accommodation for up to 79 people who require nursing and personal care for their physical and/or dementia care needs.
- The homes are separated into two different buildings: one provides accommodation for people who have nursing and dementia care needs and the other unit specializes in providing nursing care to people with general nursing care needs.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience in a nursing role in a care setting ensuring compliance with CCG monitoring and CQC standards. Good communication skills with the ability to effectively manage workloads. Knowledge of relevant Community Care legislation and Health & Safety. IT system knowledge with the ability to maintain accurate records. Registered General Nurse with a current PIN and registered with the NMC.
What you’ll do
- Evaluating residents’ health conditions and needs, developing appropriate nursing care plans
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Providing direct patient care including wound dressing, and monitoring vital signs
- Documenting residents’ health status and maintaining accurate medical records
- Communicating with residents’ family members and healthcare team about their condition and progress
- Providing emotional support and therapeutic communication to residents and their families
- Supervising and training nursing assistants and junior nursing staff
- Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations, including sanitation and infection control
- Coordinating with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors, therapists, and dietitians
- Support the delivery of services including palliative care to the terminally ill.
- Promoting the highest standards of clinical nursing throughout the nursing home
- Upholding residents’ rights to privacy, dignity and choice
- Reporting any ill health among the residents and request professional visits when necessary
- Familiarizing yourself with, and strictly adhering to, company policy and procedure and Care Inspectorate guidelines
What you need
- Registered General Nurse with a current PIN and registered with the NMC.
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant Care regulations and legislation including Health & Safety and Adult Safeguarding.
- Experience of working in a care setting, care planning and implementation ensuring compliance with CQC regulations.
- Competent IT skills with the ability to write reports and maintain accurate records.
