We are looking for a dedicated and hands-on Head Housekeeper to join our friendly care home team in Darenth, Dartford. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of the housekeeping department and play a vital role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Leading and motivating the housekeeping team to deliver outstanding standards of cleanliness
- Ensuring residents' bedrooms, communal areas, dining rooms, and facilities are maintained to the highest standards
- Managing housekeeping rotas and daily task allocation
- Conducting quality checks and audits
- Monitoring stock levels and ordering cleaning supplies
- Supporting staff training and development
- Ensuring compliance with infection control, COSHH, and health & safety regulations
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in a housekeeping role within a care home, healthcare, hotel, or hospitality environment for at least one year
- Supervisory or team leadership experience
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic
- Good communication and people management skills
- Right to work in the UK, no need for sponsorship
