This is a full-time, on-site role for a Registered Mental Nurse/Registered General Nurse based in Bradford. The Registered Mental Nurse will provide high-quality mental health nursing care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized care plans. Daily responsibilities include monitoring service users' mental and physical health, administering medication safely, and responding promptly to changes in presentation or risk. The role involves working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, supporting therapeutic interventions, and engaging service users, families, and carers in care decisions. The nurse will maintain accurate clinical records, contribute to care reviews, uphold safeguarding and infection control standards, and follow all relevant clinical and organizational policies. Participation in shift work, including weekends and nights as required, and active involvement in supervision, training, and continuous professional development are expected.
Qualifications:
- Current registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse
- Proven experience in mental health settings such as inpatient units, community teams, crisis services, or specialist mental health facilities.
- Strong clinical skills in mental health assessment, risk assessment, care planning, and crisis intervention.
- Demonstrated knowledge of mental health legislation, ethical practice, safeguarding, and relevant clinical guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Clear DBS and 2 satisfactory references.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Valid NMC UK PIN number without restrictions.
- Proven experience in clinical settings is desirable.
- Ability to communicate well at all levels is essential along with a flexible approach.
- Team player with a genuine interest in working within a care home setting.
- Up-to-date knowledge in area of practice.
- Awareness of NMC Code of Accountability.
