About the home:
Care Centre in Bradford provides a welcoming home for people who need care and support.
Trained, friendly staff give people personalised care in a supportive environment.
Residents can take part in a variety of activities and have their personal interests and hobbies taken into account.
Delicious, nutritious food is served and the care home can cater to specific dietary requirements.
Responsabilities include:
- Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting and assisting Residents when required with all aspects of daily living
- Assist Residents in all aspects of their care needs, e.g. physical, emotional and spiritual
- Provide supervision and attention when needed, ensuring Residents retain their comfort and dignity
- Observe care planning needs for Residents and completed daily records as instructed
- Assist in framework of social activities by interacting with Residents and helping them continue with hobbies and activities in the Care Centre
- Answer Nurse Call system, giving assistance as required
- Answer the door and telephone appropriately
- Respond accordingly, and pass on messages promptly
- Report on well-being of Residents
- Clean and maintain equipment used by Residents and Relatives e.g. wheelchairs, hearing aids, spectacles etc
Requirements for the role
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels

- Ability to work on own initiative
- Previous experience of working with the relevant Service User group
