Position: Healthcare Assistants with Mental Care Experience
Permanent position, no sponsorship provided
FULL-TIME, min 33 hours per week
Salary: £12.21-£12.81 per hour

Position Overview: As a Healthcare Assistant with Mental Care Experience, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to individuals with mental health conditions. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to ensure that our clients receive the best possible care and support. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires compassion, empathy, and a strong understanding of mental health care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support to clients with mental health conditions, including assistance with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record clients' physical and mental well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Assist with the administration of medication and other treatments as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Support clients in participating in therapeutic activities and programs.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, promoting a positive and caring environment.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, following infection control and health and safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure the best possible care.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Healthcare Assistant in a mental health care setting.
- Knowledge of mental health conditions and an understanding of how to provide care and support to individuals with these conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to care.
- Ability to handle challenging situations with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
