We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, caring and fun HEALTHCARE ASSISTANTS to join our team supporting people to have a fulfilled and active life. 3-4 shifts per week alternate include weekends. The people we support have differing needs and wishes we are looking for people who are dedicated to making our residents lives happy and fulfilled. Must be over the age of 18 to apply.
As a Healthcare Assistant, you'll play a key role in providing high-quality, person-centred care to our clients in home care, private sector, and supported living settings. Working under the guidance of our Registered Manager, you will ensure clients receive the best possible care while maintaining their dignity and independence.
About Nursing Home: Care Centre provides residential and nursing care for up to 160 residents requiring general nursing needs and end of life care. The home can care for those living with dementia, younger adults with physical disabilities and mental health needs.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS Required:
- Genuine interest in working within a caring environment
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels

- Willingness to participate in Vocational Training Programmes
- Satisfactory Police Check and check against the POVA List (where applicable)
- Right to work in the UK
- Able to work without sponsorship visa for at least 12-months
About You
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred not mandatory
- Experience: Ideally, you have at least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant, but we welcome those with a passion for care and transferable skills.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting/assisting People in our Care, when required, with washing, toileting, dressing, undressing, and all other aspects of daily living.
- Assist People in all aspects of their care needs (e.g. physical, emotional and spiritual). Provide attention when needed, whilst ensuring People retain their comfort and dignity.
- Pay particular attention to assisting People who have limited mobility, or physical / learning difficulties, making the best use of aids provided.
- Closely monitor People who may be confused and / or who have behavioural problems.
- Assist in the promotion of continence.
- Assist in the delivery of care for People who are dying or who have a progressive illness. Assist with last offices.
- Observe care planning needs for People and complete written daily records as instructed and in line with the Company's policies and procedures.
- Answer Nursecall system, giving assistance as required. Answer the door and telephone appropriately. Respond accordingly, and pass on messages promptly.
- Make Visitors feel welcome. Provide refreshments/assistance as and when required.
- Make and change beds, ensuring that rooms are clean and tidy, and commodes are empty, in line with the Care Home's disposal of waste policy.
- Assist People who need help during meal times (be aware of swallowing difficulties, dietary requirements etc). Assist with serving of food / drinks as requested / required. Set and clear tables and trays. Wash up as requested / required.
