We are seeking a dedicated and clinically confident Registered General Nurse / Registered Adult Nurse to join our team in a well-established nursing home located in the Glasgow area.

The home provides high-quality nursing, dementia, residential and end-of-life care, supported by a team of qualified nurses and carers committed to delivering person-centred care and maintaining excellent clinical standards.

This role is ideal for nurses who are passionate about delivering safe, effective and compassionate care, and who value working within a supportive, well-structured environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care in accordance with NMC standards and professional guidelines.
  • Administer medication safely and accurately, following all clinical protocols.
  • Complete and maintain detailed clinical documentation and individualised care plans.
  • Conduct clinical assessments, risk evaluations and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Support residents with complex needs including dementia, physical disabilities and long-term conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families and external healthcare professionals.
  • Supervise, mentor and support junior staff and healthcare assistants.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC/CI standards, safeguarding procedures and internal policies.
  • Promote dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing for all residents.
  • Respond effectively to emergencies and maintain a calm, professional approach in high-pressure situations.

Requirements

  • Current NMC registration (RGN / RNA).
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to supervise and support other staff members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Genuine passion for delivering high-quality care to older adults.
  • Good IT skills for record keeping and documentation.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
