Healthcare assistants to join our Nursing home based in Darenth, DA2 area, 60 Service Users.
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time, hours: 42–44 per week.
Salary: £12.72 per hour.
We recruit only care assistants able to work full-time, no students or skilled workers. Own transportation is desirable due to the location of the care home.
Responsibilities:- Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting and assisting Residents when required with all aspects of daily living.
- Assist Residents in all aspects of their care needs, e.g. physical, emotional and spiritual.
- Provide supervision and attention when needed, ensuring Residents retain their comfort and dignity.
- Observe care planning needs for Residents and complete daily records as instructed.
- Assist in the framework of social activities by interacting with Residents and helping them continue with hobbies and activities in the Care Centre.
- Answer the Nurse Call system, giving assistance as required.
- Answer the door and telephone appropriately.
- Respond accordingly, and pass on messages promptly.
- Report on the well-being of Residents.
- Clean and maintain equipment used by Residents and relatives e.g. wheelchairs, hearing aids, spectacles etc.
- Experience in a similar role for one year, as added in the CV.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Team player.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Previous experience of working with the relevant Service User group.
