Registered Nurse with experience in a similar role in a Care Home with Nursing in the Bradford area. The 85-room facility offers a range of specialist care for residents, including Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s care, as well as care for stroke victims.

Overseeing all aspects of the care centre, the manager manages a team of 10 nurses and 60 care assistants, many of whom are trained to NVQ level 2-3. The team operates five units, each tailored to the dependency levels of the residents to ensure the right level of care is received.

Interviews will be face-to-face for locally based nurses and online via Teams for those looking to relocate.

Available Hours/Pay:

  • Full Time: 36 hours per week
  • Long shifts: 8am-8pm / 8pm-8am

Our qualified nursing team is available 24 hours a day to provide medical and other forms of specialised support. We respect patients and recognise each as a unique individual, providing not just high-quality nursing skills, but truly person-centred care.

About the Role:

  • Providing a high standard of care to people with mental illness and personality disorder
  • Promoting the highest standards of clinical nursing throughout the facility
  • Overseeing the day-to-day care of patients and the administration of required medication
  • Providing nursing and personal care and promoting their abilities
  • Planning, implementing, and supervising the provision of quality care
  • Maintaining the required medical documentation
  • Upholding residents’ rights to privacy, dignity, and choice
  • Leading shifts, mentoring and supporting student nurses and other members of the team
  • Familiarising yourself with, and strictly adhering to, company policy and procedure and Care Inspectorate guidelines

The main requirements for this role are:

  • Registered Nurse (current PIN number with NMC and experience in the UK)
  • One year’s experience is desirable
  • Genuine desire to work with the elderly
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, along with excellent listening skills
  • Ability to supervise other staff members comfortably and competently
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
