We are looking for caring female Healthcare assistants to join our Nursing home located in Cleckheaton, Kirklees, West Yorkshire. This 86-bedded Nursing and Residential Care Home specialises in the care of residents with dementia, Alzheimer's and other elderly conditions.

Job Types: Permanent, Full‑time (36–42 hours per week)

Salary: Starting at £12.21 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting and assisting residents with all aspects of daily living.
  • Assist residents with physical, emotional and spiritual care needs.
  • Provide supervision and attention when needed, ensuring residents retain comfort and dignity.
  • Observe care planning needs for residents and complete daily records as instructed.
  • Assist in the framework of social activities by interacting with residents and helping them continue hobbies and activities.
  • Answer the nurse call system and assist as required.
  • Answer the door and telephone appropriately and pass on messages promptly.
  • Report on the well‑being of residents.
  • Clean and maintain equipment used by residents, such as wheelchairs, hearing aids and spectacles.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Previous experience of working with the relevant service user group for at least 6 months.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Live in the area and able to commute.
  • NVQ2 in Health and Social Care (Medication training up to date).
