We're looking for enthusiastic, caring and fun healthcare assistants to join our team supporting people to have a fulfilled and active life. 3-4 shifts per week include weekends. Must be over the age of 18 to apply.
About the Home: The Care Centre provides residential and nursing care for up to 160 residents requiring general nursing needs and end of life care. The home can care for those living with dementia, younger adults with physical disabilities and mental health needs.

Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications

About You
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred, not mandatory
- Experience: Ideally you have at least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant, but we welcome those with a passion for care and transferable skills.

Main Responsibilities
- Ensure the highest possible levels of care by supporting/assisting people with washing, toileting, dressing, undressing and all aspects of daily living.
- Assist people in all aspects of their care needs (physical, emotional, spiritual) while ensuring dignity and comfort.
- Assist people with limited mobility or learning difficulties, using aids provided.
- Monitor people who may be confused or have behavioural problems.
- Assist in the promotion of continence.
- Assist in the delivery of care for people who are dying or have a progressive illness; assist with last offices.
- Observe care planning needs and complete written daily records in line with company policies.
- Answer nurse call system, door and telephone appropriately; pass on messages promptly.
- Make visitors feel welcome; provide refreshments/assistance as required.
- Make and change beds, ensuring rooms are clean and tidy, commodes emptied in line with disposal policy.
- Assist people who need help during meal times, including swallowing difficulties and dietary requirements; serve food/drinks; set/clear tables; wash up as requested.
