About the Client:

Nursing Home based in Birmingham. Situated a short way from the Birmingham city centre, our Care Centre has a capacity for 116 residents. Our NVQ qualified nurses and carers provide care for those in need of specialist care, including dementia, stroke and Alzheimer's sufferers as well as elderly care and end of life care.

Services Provided:

  • Care Home with Nursing: Privately owned and registered for a maximum of 60 service users.
  • Care Types Provided: Residential care, nursing care, dementia care, palliative care, and respite care.
  • Registered Categories: Dementia/Alzheimer's, Old Age/Elderly Care, Physical Disability, Re-enablement.

Flexibility regarding shifts is a must.

A Clinical Lead needs to have the following skills and experience:

  • Current UK NMC registration
  • Management experience within a nursing home environment
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent track record of managing safeguarding and clinical risk assessments
  • Excellent knowledge of CQC standards
  • Experience in medication management, conducting Quality Assurance audits and supervision of staff

Responsibilities:

  • As Clinical Lead, you will be supporting the Home Manager in ensuring high-quality, person-centred care is provided to all residents.
  • Making sure all regulatory and contractual standards are met and exceeded.
  • Ensuring that the Lodge is appropriately represented and working effectively with local service providers, e.g. NHS and Social Work Departments.
  • Acting as an ambassador for the Lodge, ensuring strong communication channels are established.
  • Managing staff and budgets in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Undertaking administrative tasks as required.
  • Liaising with external professionals, individuals and families.
  • Ensuring that effective referral protocols and practices are in place and adhered to.
