Location: Pontefract

Hours: Full-time, 36–48 hours per week

Shifts: Nights, 12-hour shifts (8pm–8am)

Pay Rate: £20 per hour

Eligibility: UK‑based nurses only, with minimum 1 year UK experience and 2 years Nursing Home experience

About the Home: This 64-bed care home offers large, single, ensuite rooms designed to provide privacy, comfort and dignity. The service specialises in dementia care and supports residents with a wide range of health needs. Staff are fully qualified, holding Health & Social Care Levels 2–3, Registered Mental Health Nurse qualifications and other relevant certifications.

Role Overview: You will be responsible for assessing residents' care needs and developing, implementing and evaluating care plans under the direction of the Head Nurse. The role requires delivering high standards of nursing care and ensuring safe, effective practice throughout the night shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and complete healthcare records and reports
  • Administer medications safely and monitor for side effects or reactions
  • Prescribe assistive medical devices and related treatments
  • Supervise, support and develop care team members
  • Monitor standards of care delivered to residents
  • Ensure all staff contribute effectively to the smooth running of the home
  • Interact with residents, address concerns and resolve issues appropriately
  • Report any changes in residents' health and request GP/Professional visits when required
  • Prepare, update and evaluate individualised care plans
  • Provide general nursing duties and personal care as appropriate
  • Attend relevant staff meetings
  • Report incidents or accidents to the Registered Care Manager
  • Ensure clear and concise handovers at every shift

  • Previous experience in a similar nursing role
