Responsibilities

  • Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting and assisting Residents when required with all aspects of daily living.
  • Assist Residents in all aspects of their care needs, e.g., physical, emotional, and spiritual care.
  • Provide supervision and attention when needed, ensuring Residents retain their comfort and dignity.
  • Observe care planning needs for Residents and complete daily records as instructed.
  • Assist in the framework of social activities by interacting with Residents and helping them continue with hobbies and activities in the Care Centre.
  • Answer Nurse Call system, giving assistance as required.
  • Answer the door and telephone appropriately, respond accordingly, and pass on messages promptly.
  • Report on the well-being of Residents.
  • Clean and maintain equipment used by Residents and relatives, e.g., wheelchairs, hearing aids, spectacles, etc.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar role for at least 1 year.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Previous experience of working with the relevant Service User group.

  • Location: Warrington area, Winwick, WA2.
  • Type: Permanent.
  • Hours: 33–44 per week. Day shifts & night shifts available.
  • Salary: £12.72 per hour.

The Care home accommodates up to 42 residents and provides support for residential care, nursing care, palliative care, cancer care, visual, speech and hearing impairments, and Parkinson's disease.
