As a Care Assistant, you will be instrumental in providing high‑quality care and support to residents, ensuring their well‑being and comfort. Reporting to the Care Home Manager, you will utilize your supervising experience and leadership skills to oversee care plans and assist in daily activities. Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with team members and families, and your senior care and driving skills will enhance the overall care experience. Relevant IT skills will aid in maintaining accurate records and facilitating effective communication within the team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with residents, families, and team members.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home.
- Utilize IT systems for record‑keeping and reporting to enhance care delivery.
- Drive to various locations as required for resident activities or appointments.
- Assist in planning, implementing, and supervising the provision of quality care in conjunction with Service Users.
- Ensure Service Users retain their dignity and individuality.
- Participate in general activities of the Care Home.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for Service Users, staff members, and visitors.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 in Care or relevant Service User group experience.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Experience or qualification in Safe Handling of Medicines.
