Registered Mental Nurse with experience- sponsorship provided in Dewsbury

We are currently looking to recruit Registered Mental Nurses locally based or someone able to relocate, with a passion for providing exceptional, kind, personalized care that promotes choice, dignity and respect for residents living in a 572-bed mental care home facility. Responsibilities

• Assess patient health, mental issues and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records.
• Administer nursing care to ill, injured, and long-term service users.
• Behave in a professional and discreet manner at all times in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code.
• Be competent and confident in managing people with long-term health conditions.
• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate interventions/treatments for service users with complex needs.
• Proactively identify, diagnose and manage treatment plans for service users (as appropriate).
• Prioritize mental health problems and intervene appropriately to assist service users in complex, urgent or emergency situations, including initiation of effective emergency care.
• Recognize and work within your own competence level.
• Produce accurate, contemporaneous, and complete records of service user interaction and consultation, consistent with legislation, policies and procedures.
• Support, manage and guide support workers on a daily basis.
• Continual personal development to develop oneself and the role.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Providing direct patient care including wound dressing, bathing, feeding and monitoring vital signs.
• Documenting residents' health status and maintaining accurate medical records.
• Communicating with residents, family members and healthcare team about their condition and progress.
• Providing emotional support and therapeutic communication to residents and their families.
• Supervising and training nursing assistants and junior nursing staff.
• Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations, including sanitation and infection control.
• Coordinating with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors, therapists, and dietitians.
• Experience working with the elderly.
• Able to deliver nursing care in a clinical environment.
• Demonstrate an understanding and application of relevant legislation in relation to the role.
• Excellent skills and knowledge of the job role.
• Genuine interest in working within a care home setting and up-to-date knowledge in area of practice.
• Aware of NMC Code of Accountability.

Qualifications

• Active UK NMC PIN
• Clear DBS and 2 satisfactory references
• Prior experience as a Registered Mental Nurse is mandatory
• Valid NMC UK PIN number without restrictions
