Responsibilities
- Promote the highest standards of clinical nursing throughout the nursing home.
- Oversee day‑to‑day care of patients and the administration of required medication.
- Provide nursing and personal care to residents and promote their abilities.
- Supervise qualified and unqualified staff on a day‑to‑day basis as delegated by the line manager.
- Plan, implement, and supervise the provision of quality care.
- Maintain required medical documentation.
- Uphold residents’ right to privacy, dignity, and choice.
- Report any ill‑health among residents and request professional visits when necessary.
- Familiarise with, and strictly adhere to, company policy and procedure, and Care Inspectorate guidelines.
- Abide by the Nursing and Midwifery Council’s (NMC) code of professional conduct.
- Ensure the nursing team is available 24hours a day to provide medical and other forms of specialised support.
- Respect older people and recognise each resident as a unique individual, providing person‑centred care.
Qualifications
- Registered nurse with a current PIN number with the NMC.
- Genuine desire to work with the elderly.
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with excellent listening skills.
- Ability to supervise other staff members comfortably and competently.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical‑thinking skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high‑stress situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- UK‑based, Leeds area with experience in the UK or newly qualified.
- Successful disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and two satisfactory references.
Available hours: 36hours per week.
Pay rate: £21.25 per hour.
