Flight Coordinator in Biggin Hill

Overview

This is an on-site, full time role for a Flight Coordinator based in Biggin Hill. Duties will include, but not limited to:

• Answering telephone calls and emails
• Preparing quotes on the SkyCare electronic platforms
• Completing mission plan proformas
• Finding a team from our medical staff bank
• Liaising with insurance and medical assistance companies
• Answering questions from patient\’s relatives and friends
• Restocking and checking medical bags, managing stock room
• Filling the aircraft oxygen
• Preparing and cleaning the aircraft
• Scanning and preparing paperwork post-mission for the governance process
• Driving ground ambulances (where within scope and driving experience/license)
• Repatriation experience in at least one mode of transport (road, commercial, air ambulance) either direct clinical experience or experience of planning and coordinating missions
• Experience of leadership/management roles such as mentoring, rota management, audit or quality improvement projects
• Can demonstrate insight into working with clients in the insurance industry, medical assistance and/or NHS
• Good telephone manner, computer literate and able to learn new software quickly
• Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to effectively handle various stakeholders.
• Ability to coordinate and work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with aviation standards or procedures is a plus.
• Previous experience in a similar role or in the aviation or medical field is desirable.
