We are seeking to recruit

Healthcare assistants with UK based experience to join out team and provide mental care to residents living in our Nursing Homes based in West Yorkshire.

We accept applicants who have resided in the UK for 1 years minimum and does not need sponsorship in the next 12-months

Qualifications /requirements

  • Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments with a focus on mental health or developmental disabilities
  • Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, Schizophrenia care, memory care, and hospice support is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring
  • Ability to lift heavy objects safely and operate assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts
  • Experience working with individuals with autism or other behavioral health conditions is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience in a similar role in the UK for at least 1 year in a Nursing Home
  • Flexibility in working hours and the ability to adapt to different healthcare settings.
  • Right to work in the UK for at least 12-month without need of sponsorship
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Relevant certifications such as an NVQ in Health and Social Care are desired

Duties will include but not limited to

  • Ø Assist residents with all aspects of personal care e. g. washing and dressing
  • Ø Assist residents with mobility - including moving and handling equipment
  • Ø Assist residents with eating and drinking, communication and joining in social activities
  • Ø Complete all documentation as requested by the manager/nurse
  • Ø Maintain a clean and safe environment within the nursing home
  • Ø Ensure all policies and guidelines are followed by all staff members
  • Ø Act as a mentor to all new care assistants and ensure they are working to their role
  • Ø Attend all in house and external training as required
  • Ø Report any issues or changes in a residents condition to the nurse in charge
