A well-established engineering and services business operating within the commercial heating and cooling sector is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Engineer to support continued growth and operational delivery. This is a senior, hands-on role combining technical engineering expertise, sales development and project management, working closely with the local Branch Manager and wider operational teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, managing customer relationships and overseeing engineering projects from enquiry through to completion. The position offers a high degree of autonomy and responsibility within a stable and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities across:
- Engineering projects and installations
- Planned maintenance contracts
- Service and reactive works
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Respond to technical enquiries, including system design and equipment selection.
- Prepare and submit accurate quotations and supporting documentation.
- Manage projects from enquiry to completion, ensuring quality, profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Procure equipment, services and subcontractors in a cost-effective manner.
- Coordinate engineering teams and subcontractors to ensure project success.
