My client is recruiting an experienced Commercial Gas Service & Installation Engineer to join its established service, installation and maintenance team, reporting directly to the Branch Manager. You will be joining a well-respected, growing business with a strong reputation for quality workmanship, long-term client relationships and investment in its people. They pride themselves on delivering high standards across domestic and commercial environments and offer a supportive, professional working culture where engineers are valued, trusted and encouraged to develop their skills.
This role is ideal for an engineer with strong knowledge of domestic and commercial plumbing and heating systems, ideally with experience across Natural Gas, LPG and Oil-fired systems.
Key Responsibilities- Planned and reactive maintenance of commercial and domestic heating and hot water systems
- Servicing boilers and package burners
- Testing and purging gas installation pipework
- Working on associated plantroom equipment (pumps, valves, fans, controls)
- Domestic and commercial boiler and plant room installations
- Installation using soldered, press-fit and screwed steel pipework
- Basic electrical wiring and fault finding
- Occasional plumbing, ventilation and general plantroom maintenance
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Enhanced DBS check
- Gas qualifications including:
- Domestic: CCN1, CENWAT, CKHB1, DAH1, HTR1
- Commercial: COCDN1, CIGA1, CORT1, CPA1, DAH1, ICPN1, HTR1, TPCP1
- LPG Changeover: CONGLP1PD
- City & Guilds Level 3 Plumbing
- Unvented Hot Water Systems (G3)
- Industrial gas, oil or advanced plumbing experience
- UKATA asbestos awareness
- PASMA and IPAF certifications
A reliable, safety-conscious engineer with strong fault-finding skills and experience working in commercial plantroom environments.
