SkyBound delivers automated drone operations for critical national infrastructure, providing real-time aerial intelligence to support safety, security and faster decision‑making. We combine software, AI and remote operations, with systems managed from our Southampton‑based 24/7 control centre and deployed across the UK in some of the most complex airspaces to enable rapid response and continuous site awareness.

As we continue to scale, we’re looking for a commercially driven Account Manager to grow our strategic customer portfolio and play a key role in expanding the adoption of autonomous drone operations across the UK’s most critical industries.

This is a true commercial Account Management position. You’ll inherit a portfolio of established enterprise customers and take full ownership of the commercial relationship, identifying opportunities to expand SkyBound’s services, increase account value and drive long‑term strategic partnerships. Rather than winning new logos, your focus will be on growing existing accounts by uncovering new operational use cases, expanding deployments across additional sites and regions, introducing new AI capabilities and securing long‑term commercial agreements. You’ll work with senior decision makers across industries including Rail, Critical National Infrastructure, Utilities, Aviation, Defence, Highways, Ports and Public Safety, helping customers realise the full value of autonomous drone technology. Success in this role will be measured by revenue growth, customer retention and your ability to build trusted executive relationships that create long‑term commercial opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the commercial success of a portfolio of strategic enterprise accounts.
  • Deliver against annual revenue targets through upselling, cross‑selling and contract renewals.
  • Identify opportunities to expand SkyBound’s services across new business units, locations and operational use cases.
  • Develop trusted relationships with operational leaders, commercial stakeholders and C‑suite decision makers.
  • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews focused on commercial value, ROI and future growth opportunities.
  • Build compelling commercial business cases that demonstrate measurable operational improvements and secure additional investment.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, pricing and multi‑year agreements.
  • Maintain an accurate expansion pipeline and forecast opportunities within your accounts.
  • Work closely with Business Development, Product and Operations to maximise customer growth.
  • Represent the voice of the customer internally, helping shape future products and services.

About You

You’re a commercially focused Account Manager who enjoys building strategic relationships and growing existing customers. You understand how enterprise organisations buy technology and have experience navigating complex stakeholder environments to uncover new commercial opportunities. You have a proven track record of increasing account revenue through expansion, upselling and renewals, and you’re motivated by delivering measurable business outcomes for your customers while exceeding commercial targets.

Experience within industries such as Rail, Critical Infrastructure, Utilities, Drones, Aviation, Public Safety, Highways or Industrial Technology would be highly advantageous, although we’re equally interested in candidates who have sold innovative technology into these sectors. You thrive in a scale‑up environment where you’ll have genuine influence, autonomy and the opportunity to shape the future of the commercial function.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in Commercial Account Management, Strategic Account Management or Enterprise Account Management.
  • A strong track record of growing existing customer accounts through upselling, cross‑selling and renewals.
  • Experience managing high‑value enterprise customers with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial negotiation and forecasting skills.
  • Experience presenting commercial proposals to senior stakeholders and executive teams.
  • Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites across the UK.

Highly Desirable

  • Experience selling technology or services into one or more of the following sectors: Rail, Critical National Infrastructure, Utilities, Aviation, Public Safety, Highways, Ports, AI or SaaS.

Why Join SkyBound?

This is an opportunity to join one of the UK’s fastest‑growing autonomous technology businesses at an exciting stage of its growth. You’ll work with cutting‑edge drone and AI technology that’s transforming how critical infrastructure is monitored, protected and managed. In return you’ll receive:

  • £70,000 basic salary (£90,000 OTE)
  • Ownership of strategic enterprise accounts
  • Significant career progression as the business scales
  • The opportunity to shape the future of commercial account management within SkyBound
  • A collaborative, ambitious and innovative culture where your contribution has real impact
