As the business continues to grow across Europe, we are looking for a commercially driven Business Development Team Leader to join Team Horizon and support the continued development of our Associate team in London.
About the Role
We are looking for an ambitious Team Leader with business development experience to manage the day-to-day performance, activity and output of the Business Development Associate team based in our London office, while continuing to contribute directly to business development activity themselves.
The team supports international advisers multiple jurisdictions, including Switzerland, Europe, Middle East and Asia, identifying and engaging with prospective high-net-worth international clients and booking qualified meetings for Private Wealth Advisers.
This is a hands-on, player-coach role.
Alongside leading, coaching and developing the Business Development Associate team, the successful candidate will remain actively involved in business development activity, including prospecting, outbound calling, follow-up and generating qualified meetings.
The role will therefore combine personal business development contribution with team leadership and performance management.
This role will report to the Regional Manager and will play a key part in driving activity, maintaining standards, improving conversion and ensuring the team operates with clear structure, energy and accountability.

Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership and Performance Management
- Manage the day-to-day activity, performance and output of the Business Development Associate team in London.
- Monitor KPIs, call activity, outreach volumes, meeting bookings, conversion rates and adviser support levels.
- Provide regular feedback, coaching and guidance to improve individual and team performance.
- Support the Regional Manager for Europe in driving consistency, accountability and commercial focus across Team Horizon.
- Form part of the local leadership team and join weekly Team Leader calls led by the Regional Manager and Regional Director.
- Help embed strong habits around prospecting, follow-up, pipeline management and adviser communication.
- Identify underperformance early and support appropriate improvement plans where required.
- Lead by example by remaining actively involved in day-to-day business development activity, including prospecting, outbound calling and meeting generation.
- Balance personal business development responsibilities with the leadership, coaching and performance management of the wider team.
- Business Development Activity
- Personally undertake business development activity, including researching prospects, making outbound calls, conducting follow-ups and generating qualified meetings for Private Wealth Advisers.
- Maintain an active personal contribution to business development alongside supporting and developing the wider team.
- Help develop effective outreach approaches across phone, email, Linked In and other professional channels.
- Ensure opportunities are properly qualified before being passed to Private Wealth Advisers.
- Support the team in building long-term professional relationships with prospective clients and introducers.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Skybound’s proposition, target markets and adviser requirements internationally.
- Lead by example by remaining close to business development activity, personally contributing to prospecting and meeting generation, and supporting key campaigns where required.
- Adviser and Regional Support
- Work closely with advisers and regional management to understand business development priorities.
- Ensure Business Development Associates are aligned to adviser needs and are supporting the right markets, campaigns and client profiles.
- Help improve communication between Business Development Associates, advisers and regional leadership.
- Track outputs and provide clear reporting on activity, meetings booked and pipeline contribution.
- Support the development of best practice across Team Horizon.
- Office Oversight and Team Standards
- Provide day-to-day office oversight for the London Business Development Associate team.
- Support attendance, punctuality, professionalism and general office standards.
- Work with other team leaders to maintain a positive, focused and high-performance office environment.
- Help onboard, train and integrate new Business Development Associates into the team.
- Promote Skybound’s values, culture and standards across the London office.
- Desired Skills and Experience
- Strong experience in personally carrying out outbound business development activity, including prospecting and calling within a Wealth Management environment
- Strong understanding of outbound business development activity and KPI-led sales environments.
- Confident communication skills, with the ability to motivate others and hold people accountable.
- Strong commercial awareness and a proactive, results-driven approach.
- Ability to analyse activity, identify performance gaps and implement practical improvements.
- Comfortable working with advisers, managers and senior stakeholders.
- Experience using Linked In, CRM systems, company directories or other prospecting tools would be advantageous.
- Experience managing, mentoring or informally leading others would be highly beneficial.
