About SkyBound and the job: SkyBound Rescuer is dedicated to automating drones for rapid response, optimised performance, and better cost-effectiveness, ultimately saving, protecting, and improving lives. We\'re seeking a skilled Full-Stack JavaScript Developer to join our dynamic team and contribute to our innovative drone software platform.
Work Location: Hybrid - Remote / Southampton SO19
Reports to: Chief Technology Officer
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain our drone software platform using React for the front-end and Node.js for the back-end.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to create intuitive interfaces.
- Contribute to our Components Library (internal npm package).
- Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and responsiveness.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues across the stack.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
- Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Full-Stack Developer or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of React.js.
- Experience with Node.js and frameworks such as Express.
- Familiarity with database technologies (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and integration.
- Experience with Git.
- Knowledge of front-end build tools (Webpack, Babel, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Familiarity with GraphQL.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of Docker.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with drone software, robotics, or IoT systems.
- Fluency in English is essential.
