This exciting opportunity offers sponsorship for Flight Instructors looking to expand their qualifications and advance their careers in aviation education. As a Sponsored Flight Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality flight and simulator instruction to our trainees, in compliance with Skyborne’s training and safety standards and in line with applicable Aviation Authority regulations, while working towards additional ratings.
You will instruct at state-of-the-art training facilities using the very latest aircraft, simulators and courseware, surrounded by inspiring colleagues who are all committed to delivering the very best.
Responsibilities include conducting training in accordance with the approved ATO training manual and Academy published schedule/programme, as well as delivering briefings and debriefings to trainees. You would be expected to comply with all rules and procedures detailed in the ATO Operations Manual and to uphold flight safety in every aspect of training.
Qualifications
- UK CAA Part‑FCL unrestricted Flight Instructor (A) Certificate.
- Hold a CPL and IR‑SP‑ME.
- Minimum 200 hours of instrument flight time.
- IRI privileges, CRI ME & PIC MEP hours – option to sponsor these components.
- Unrestricted UK CAA Class 1 Medical.
Additional Requirements
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to aviation education and safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to trainees.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Starting salary of £55,000 per annum, reviewed annually.
