We are seeking a proactive and organised Training Scheduler to join our team in Bournemouth and support the effective planning and coordination of trainee training programmes across multiple phases. In this role, you will work closely with Operations, Training managers, Flight Instructors, and the wider team to optimise trainee progression, operational efficiencies and capacity. You will play a key part in maximising the utilisation of the aircraft, simulators, instructors, and examiner resources, while helping to minimise training downtime and maintain an excellent customer experience throughout the trainees’ journey.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with Company procedures, especially regarding safety, compliance, and training continuity.
  • Create and maintain daily, weekly, and medium-term training schedules for Bournemouth aircraft, simulators, instructors, MCCIs, and examiners.
  • Maintain effective communication with trainees and operational departments regarding schedule changes and training updates.
  • Coordinate trainee progression through the MEP, IR, APS MCC, and UPRT phases in line with syllabus requirements and operational priorities.
  • Support operational recovery following weather disruption, technical issues, instructor availability changes, or general schedule amendments.
  • Liaise closely with Operations, Flight Instructors, MCCIs, Examiners, and the Training Management team regarding training capacity and scheduling requirements.
  • Monitor trainee course progression and highlight risks to planned completion timelines or training continuity.
  • Monitor aircraft and simulator utilisation, identifying opportunities to maximise training throughput and minimise trainee downtime.
  • Update and maintain scheduling systems and tracking tools to ensure accurate operational oversight.
  • Assist with the planning and coordination of examiner bookings, and trainee accommodation requirements where required.
  • Support the optimisation of aircraft and simulator resource allocation across multiple concurrent training courses.

Requirements

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, to motivate and encourage staff, to deal effectively with internal and external contacts ranging from executive to administrative levels.
  • Ability to concentrate and work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure.
  • Flexible and adaptable and able to accept changes and adjust accordingly.
  • Previous experience of working and fostering professional relationships.
  • Previous experience working in an operations scheduling environment would be beneficial.
  • A keen interest in Aviation would be desirable.
