Private Live-In Carer

Skybod Healthcare Ltd is looking for dedicated and compassionate live-in carers to provide personalised one-to-one care and companionship in clients\’ homes.

This is a self-employed role, offering independence, flexibility, and the opportunity to deliver high-quality, person-centred care that supports clients\’ comfort, safety, and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Provide medication reminders and monitor wellbeing
• Prepare meals and help with light household tasks
• Offer companionship and emotional support
• Assist with mobility and safe transfers
• Accompany clients to appointments, walks, and social activities
• Observe and report any changes in health or behaviour

Self-Employment Guidance

This position is only for self-employed candidates:

• You must have or be willing to register for a UTR (Unique Taxpayer Reference)
• If you do not yet have a UTR, Skybod Healthcare Ltd can provide a step-by-step guide
• Sponsor visa holders cannot work as self-employed, and Skybod Healthcare Ltd cannot provide visa sponsorship
• Ensure your visa or immigration status permits self-employment

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months\’ live-in or domiciliary care experience
• Self-employed or willing to register
• Enhanced DBS (or willing to apply)
• Right to work in the UK
• Two professional references
• Caring, professional, and reliable approach
• Optional: NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care or First Aid certification
