Join an experienced facilities team at HMP Highpoint as a Plumber, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining the plumbing systems within the prison. Your skills will contribute to the effective delivery of planned and preventative maintenance across the facility.
Duties:
- Fault finding and rectification to maintain site service levels at all times.
- Completing plumbing installations, testing, and commissioning in line with statutory regulations and Health and Safety procedures.
- Carrying out allocated planned maintenance and small repairs as per service requests from the computer-aided facilities management system.
- Maintaining regular communication via radio in accordance with LSS protocols.
- Undertaking emergency and urgent tasks in accordance with Prison Service Specifications.
Requirements:
- Qualified as a Plumber to NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plumbing (or significant relevant experience).
- At least two years' experience in a plumbing role or equivalent.
- Familiarity with Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements.
- Due to the nature of the environment, you will need to complete standard Security Vetting.
