Join an experienced facilities team at HMP Highdown as a Plumber, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining the mechanical systems within the prison. Your skills will contribute to the effective delivery of planned and preventative maintenance across the facility.
Duties of the Plumber Include (but are not limited to):
- Fault finding and rectification to maintain site service levels at all times.
- Completing mechanical installations, testing, and commissioning in line with statutory regulations and Health and Safety procedures.
- Carrying out allocated planned maintenance and small repairs as per service requests from the computer-aided facilities management system.
- Maintaining regular communication via radio in accordance with LSS protocols.
- Undertaking emergency and urgent tasks in accordance with Prison Service Specifications.
The successful Plumber will possess the following:
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualifications in Plumbing.
- BOAS experience/qualification (can be provided once in position).
- At least two years' experience in a mechanical role or equivalent.
- Familiarity with maintenance systems and regulatory standards.
Salary:
- Level 2: £34,931.68 to £38,424.86
- Level 3: £45,303.07
