Job Overview

Our client Sizewell is looking for a Batching Plant & Jetty Mechanical Fitter who will be responsible for overseeing the static assets, focusing on preventive maintenance, conducting maintenance routines, inspections, repairs, and defining needed spare parts.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on plant machinery.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and complete associated documentation.
  • Respond to breakdowns with efficient fault-finding and repair work.
  • Carry out welding and basic fabrication where required.
  • Maintain consistent and documented compliance with all relevant Health and Safety Environmental (HSE), quality and best practice requirements.

Requirements

  • Able to work with responsibility and under pressure with critical asset plant.
  • Experience with concrete batching plants and large conveyor systems.
  • Good understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic ability.
  • Coordination experience with delivery team and plant.
  • Experience in similar project size fabrication, system amendments and improvements.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Fitter
  • LOTO - Electrical Safety briefing (or equivalent)
  • Pre-Qualification Technical Profile (PQTP)
  • Abrasive Wheels Certificate
  • CSCS or JIB
  • Working at heights
  • Manual Handling
