We are recruiting an experienced Plant Inspector to carry out statutory PUWER and LOLER inspections across a wide range of plant equipment and lifting accessories at Sizewell. This role is essential in ensuring all site plant remains safe, compliant, and fully operational.
What You'll Do
- Inspect plant equipment and lifting accessories under PUWER & LOLER.
- Inspect forklifts, telehandlers, excavators, cranes, and MEWPs (where required).
- Identify and report defects immediately.
- Ensure all statutory inspections are completed before expiry.
- Complete accurate inspection reports and maintain compliance records.
- Support maintenance and delivery teams with technical advice.
What You Need
- NVQ Level 2+ in Plant Maintenance or Plant Operations (or equivalent).
- NVQ Level 3 in Maintenance/Engineering (preferred but not essential).
- Experience inspecting plant equipment and lifting accessories.
- CITB Plant Inspection or relevant inspection/maintenance experience.
- LEEA Advanced Diplomas (LEG/LMM/LMP/OTC/RCS) - essential for lifting accessories.
- IOSH qualification.
- IPAF 3a & 3b (training available).
- IPAF CAP card (preferred).
- Full UK driving licence (Category B).
- MEWP-focused applicants:
- 2+ years' MEWP maintenance & LOLER inspection experience.
- NVQ Level 3+ or equivalent.
