Form Works Supervisor
Location: Ipswich IP164EW
Pay: £27.81 PAYE
Overtime rate after 39 hours
Hours: 7:00am-18:00 12 days on 2 days off every other weekend off
Fortel is looking for an experienced Supervisor This is an all-round supervisory role, involving hands-on oversight of structures, earthworks, and general construction operations, with flexibility to cover additional areas when team members are on leave.
Key Duties
- Overseeing concrete operations, formwork, rebar, drainage, and groundworks; setting contractors and crews to work
- Monitoring health, safety,
- RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements), and quality
- Coordinate labour, subcontractors, plant, and materials to ensure works progress safely and efficiently
- Assist with daily briefings, task allocations, and on-site coordination
- Monitor work quality, productivity, and adherence to specifications
- Maintain communication with site management, engineers, and other supervisors
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings; direct experience with formwork, concrete, and civil construction techniques.
- Strong all-round civils background: structures, earthworks, and general construction operations
Requirements:
- Valid Gold or Black CSCS
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- Up-to-date CV
Must pass a DBS criminal record check and mandatory drug and alcohol testing for nuclear site access. [1, 2, 3, 4]
