The SRE team, is responsible for the implementation and administration of the infrastructure for the Video On Demand (VOD) content. The infrastructure consists of many technology stacks, i.e., AWS, GCP, Cassandra, Kafka, etc. which provides a great opportunity to learn and develop code to implement and administrate the technologies

What you\’ll do

• Be the Lead on multiple delivery projects while work on day-to-day BAU and support tasks.
• Proactively create and deliver infrastructure as code to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of our internal or customer-facing services
• Lead Troubleshooting and problem solving
• Create new designs, architectures and standards for new projects or solutions to improve current infrastructure, and contribute to the stability and security of the environment
• Help with capacity planning and demand forecasting, software performance analysis and system tuning, defining processes and best practices for reliable and timely delivery
• Communicate work status regularly with a clear articulation of design choices along the way.

What you\’ll bring

• Proven experience in solving technical issues, managing technical projects, and mentoring engineers.
• Background working in a multi-technical Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) department, with the ability to break down complex problems and deliver practical solutions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders and peers.
• Demonstrated ambition and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving digital environment.
• A solid track record in both technical roles and mentoring responsibilities.
• Technical competency in Linux system administration (Ubuntu), monitoring tools (Prometheus, Nagios, Icinga), and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) including deployment and automation.
• Hands-on experience with CDN tools (e.g., Akamai, Fastly), networking (load balancing, routing, switching), databases (SQL/NoSQL, ideally Cassandra), scripting/system programming (Python, Bash, Go, Java), and configuration management (Ansible, Terraform).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Concourse, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and virtualization technologies (VMWare).Please note that there is an on-call working rota for this role
