Play a crucial role in managing the continuous deployment of our immersive experience releases and features. As a Release Engineer, you'll deploy software, shape automation tools/processes and collaborate with various teams to resolve issues and maintain release timelines.
What you'll do:
- Deploy components to software branches, create engineering and release builds for further testing and deployment to trial and customer populations.
- Operating CD infrastructure to manage the rollout of software and features.
- Implement and maintain release automation tools and processes to streamline the CI/CD cycle and shape the future roadmap of the CD infrastructure.
- Investigate issues arising during the release process, owning the issue, and collaborating with development and operations teams through to resolution.
- Manage the Immerse UI software release process, by co-ordinating with the development, certification, and middleware delivery teams.
- Run the release decision gate process with all relevant stakeholders.
- Use Jira to monitor and report on release progress, including highlighting risks, issues, and readiness.
- Plan and maintain the release scope, status, timelines, and delivery options by understanding and accommodating the various business, product and external partner asks and priorities.
What you'll bring:
- Experience in software development for embedded systems (e.g. CPE devices).
- Experience in software delivery or lifecycle management.
- Experience with agile development methods and tools.
- Confidence liaising with internal and external stakeholders with a range of seniorities.
- Demonstration of strategic thinking, system development, and technical writing skills.
