The Operational Support Manager is a role with people management responsibilities focused on developing and supporting the technical management team while ensuring the highest standards of technical and operational delivery. This role is equally about people and operations. It ensures that our teams have the right training and support to grow while maintaining operational efficiency.
You will lead team development, training programs, and succession planning, ensuring our people are equipped for both current and future demands.
What You'll Do:
- People & Team Development: Lead the studio's technical management team's recruitment, training and development strategy. Deliver effective performance reviews and personal development plans. Establish mentoring relationships and foster a culture of continuous learning. Work closely with Technical Managers and Technical Specialists to ensure training aligns with evolving industry trends and technologies.
- Operational & Leadership Knowledge: Ensure efficient resource management, aligning team skills with production requirements. Stay up to date with broadcast and production technology trends.
- Culture & Engagement: Foster a positive, engaged, and motivated team environment. Ensure open and effective communication, keeping the team informed and aligned with business goals. Advocate for health, wellbeing, and work-life balance, ensuring the team feels supported.
What You'll Bring:
- You will be: Proven track record in people development, with a strong focus on training. A leader, able to empower and inspire a high-performing team. A clear and confident communicator, able to liaise with all levels of the business.
- You will have: Experience in leading and developing teams, with a strong background in performance management. Experience within broadcast operations, with the ability to support both people growth and operational delivery. Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
