This role has been created to develop and deliver a brand-new, world-class function in the Product Hub. You’ll build and lead a team focused on helping us better understand and contextualise the product landscape of today and tomorrow, thereby ensuring our product pipeline is competitive and compelling. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the Global Consumer Research & Strategy (GCS&R) team\’s reputation as a distinctive, essential new capability in the Product Hub.

Responsibilities

  • Experience Foresight Leadership

    Establish and lead and embed an innovative playbook for Experience Foresight, drawing on expert desk research, brilliant product evaluation techniques, and superb workshop facilitation abilities. Through this, drive a truly collaborative approach to helping Product and Design articulate the medium-term future roadmap.

  • Lead a top-tier product evaluation and differentiation program that enables product owners and designers to assess key competitor offerings, supported by your research team. Use your industry knowledge of entertainment and technology markets, business models, monetization, and trends to align product planning with strategic growth.

  • In collaboration with your fellow GCS&R colleagues, and wider Product Hub colleagues, produce and prove product fit for new and evolutionary features and ideas across the Product Hub portfolio, closing the gap between the short and medium-term futures.

  • Relationship & Network Management

    Through developing an excellent network, be the trusted source of Experience Foresight expertise within Sky & the wider Comcast organisation.

  • Be the go-to resource for both understanding our competitor landscape and helping Product and Design articulate near and medium-term future direction for products and features.

  • Maintain and develop an excellent industry talent knowledge and network – able to attract (and retain) the very best talent to the immediate, and wider, team.

  • Team Leadership & Inspiration

    Empower and develop a talented Experience Foresight team and function, providing day-to-day leadership of work & driving the highest quality output that has measurable, meaningful impact on what we ultimately deliver to customers.

  • Recruit, nurture and develop talent and future organisation leaders, both directly and indirectly, helping create a career growth programme that\’s industry leading.

  • Inspire and motivate through a relentless source of positive energy, creating a people-focused, creative culture.

  • Play a key role sponsoring and leading specific work streams within the TV Product team to help us realise our wider team ambition and goals.

Qualifications

  • What you\’ll bring:

  • Proven expertise in product evaluation and competitive benchmarking, with a track record of designing or leading structured evaluation frameworks.

  • Strong knowledge of foresight, strategy, or innovation methodologies – with familiarity in tools such as horizon scanning, scenario planning, or trend analysis and the ability to apply these to product development.

  • Evidence of leading multi-disciplinary teams and delivering impactful outputs that influenced product or design roadmaps within a complete, customer-facing business.

  • Ability to engage and influence at senior leadership level (up to Exec), with strong written, verbal, and workshop facilitation skills.

  • Experience of building, scaling, or transforming a new function or capability in a large organisation.

  • Demonstrable experience of managing and developing high-performing teams, including direct line management responsibility.

  • Experience working within the media, technology, or entertainment sector is a strong advantage, as is international experience across multiple markets or regions.
