What You\βll Do
- Create engaging digital videos tailored for different platforms and social media channels
- Pitch and produce creative treatments, angles, and ideas for stories Sky News is covering or should cover
- Generate and pitch original video and story ideas to film, edit, and front
- Collaborate with AEs to create striking thumbnails and headlines, especially for the Sky News app and YouTube
- Produce a range of content from long-form videos to explainers, analysis, and breaking news
- Demonstrate excellent news judgment and attention to detail
- Understand what video treatments and thumbnails work across platforms
- Deliver clear, accurate scripts, captions, and headlines for digital content
- Possess editorial and technical skills with video editing tools such as Adobe, Final Cut, Avid, or Quantel
- Apply best practices and legal knowledge to critique and sign off on sensitive video journalism
- Bring creativity and a sense of \βnow\β to your work
- Have experience working in a newsroom and hold a recognized qualification in journalism and media law
