As a Qualified Social Worker, you will be responsible for the following:
Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Undertake comprehensive assessments including parenting assessments in a timely way to inform development of outcome-focused care plans with Children and their Families.
- Undertake care proceedings within the court, both private and public β Initiate and complete within court timescales and achieve permanency plans for children including adoption.
- Understand and respond to complexity of risks and are required to evidence on records, including providing analysis of their interventions with children and families
Social Care Qualified Qualified Social Worker with SWE registration and a minimum of 2 years\β post-qualified experience within Children\βs Services, ideally Family Safeguarding or similar statutory teams. - Demonstrated ability to undertake comprehensive and analytical assessments, including parenting assessments, within required timescales.
- Confident in managing care proceedings (both public and private law) and experienced in preparing clear, evidence-based court reports and statements.
- Skilled in developing and implementing outcome-focused care plans that promote the safety and wellbeing of children and families. Strong understanding of child protection legislation, thresholds, and permanency planning, including adoption pathways.
- Proven ability to analyse complex family situations, assess risk, and make sound, evidence-based decisions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to record and present information clearly and concisely.
- Effective team player with the ability to work collaboratively within a pod structure, supporting colleagues and contributing to shared learning. Committed to reflective practice, continuous professional development, and maintaining high professional standards.
