A rapidly growing consultancy and managed service provider is seeking an experienced Operations Manager – Discharge & Patient Flow to lead and expand its discharge and patient flow services across the UK. With established frameworks, national clinical resources, and strong internal infrastructure already in place, this is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a service line without needing to build from scratch. This senior operational & commercial role will play a central part in scaling new discharge and patient flow programmes nationwide. With access to a nationwide pool of experienced discharge clinicians and support from an internal homecare division, you will have everything needed to deliver true end-to-end discharge solutions from hospital discharge to community reintegration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and scale discharge & patient flow projects across acute and community settings
  • Mobilise new contracts and oversee operational delivery from inception to completion
  • Drive business development: winning contracts, pricing models, tenders and service expansion
  • Build strong partnerships with NHS Trusts, ICBs and Local Authorities
  • Support service design, performance improvement and scalable delivery frameworks
  • Ensure high-quality, compliant and efficient operations across all programmes

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience managing complex discharge or patient flow programmes
  • Strong operational management background within health or social care
  • Commercially confident, experienced in BD, pricing, tenders and contract management
  • Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders across NHS systems
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to build and grow a service line
  • Clinical background helpful but not essential
