An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Sales to join a fast-growing healthcare organisation with ambitious plans for continued expansion. Operating nationally, the business has established a strong reputation within the healthcare sector and has achieved significant commercial success. With the business currently delivering strong EBITDA performance, the next phase of growth requires a commercially astute sales leader who can scale the sales function, strengthen market presence, and drive sustainable revenue growth. This is a strategic leadership role, ideal for someone who combines hands-on commercial expertise with the ability to build, mentor, and inspire high-performing sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the national sales strategy to support ambitious growth objectives
- Manage, mentor, and develop an established team of 3+ Business Development Managers
- Drive new business acquisition while maximising existing client relationships
- Identify new markets, service opportunities, and commercial partnerships
- Monitor sales performance, KPIs, pipeline activity, and forecasting
- Implement scalable sales processes and performance frameworks
- Collaborate closely with operational and senior leadership teams to support business growth
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify commercial opportunities
- Report directly to senior leadership on sales performance and strategic initiatives
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Head of Sales, Sales Director, or senior commercial leadership role
- Strong track record of scaling sales functions within a growing organisation
- Experience managing and developing high-performing Business Development teams
- Ideally has worked within an organisation of 200+ employees with an annual turnover of £15 - 20 million+
- Commercially driven with excellent strategic planning and execution skills
- Strong leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management abilities
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Experience within healthcare, health & social care, recruitment, or service-led industries is advantageous
