A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Business Development to join a successful and growing care provider specialising in complex community care across the West Midlands and North West. With an established presence in the market and ambitious growth plans, the organisation is now looking for a strategic and commercially driven leader to build and lead a high-performing business development team, driving new opportunities and expanding service delivery across the region. This is a senior leadership role offering real influence, autonomy, and a clear pathway to executive-level progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and manage the Business Development function and team
- Drive growth across complex care services within the Midlands and North West
- Identify and secure new business opportunities, including complex care packages
- Build and maintain strong relationships with commissioners, case managers, and key stakeholders
- Develop and execute a strategic BD plan aligned with organisational growth objectives
- Work closely with operations and clinical teams to ensure successful service delivery
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and new opportunities
- Manage pipeline, forecasting, and overall BD performance
- Support the organisation’s long-term commercial strategy
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior business development role within health & social care
- Strong background in complex care or community care services
- Experience building and managing BD teams
- Demonstrable track record of winning new business and driving growth
- Strong network within ICBs, commissioners, and case management companies
