My client is a very successful and expanding manufacturing company supplying heavy engineered and manufactured products to customers across the whole of the UK. This is an office-based role that will include travel across the UK, primarily from Manchester down to the South Coast. The client is seeking a motivated and driven Sales Representative to join their growing team in the West Midlands.
The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting the company, developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong relationships with customers, and supporting estimating and commercial functions. This is a proactive sales role suited to someone confident in chasing leads and quotes, engaging with clients, and representing the business at events and through professional social media activity.
Key Responsibilities- Proactively follow up on sales leads, quotations, and customer enquiries to secure new business.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, building trust and ensuring repeat business.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
- Promote the company’s products and capabilities through social media platforms and professional networking.
- Support the estimating department by providing customer feedback and market insights, assisting with quote follow-ups, and sharing project information to support accurate pricing.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and outcomes.
- Work closely with the wider commercial and production teams to ensure a consistent and professional approach to customer communication.
- Contribute ideas and feedback to help drive business growth and strengthen market presence.
- Proven experience in a sales representative or business development role, ideally within pipework, engineering, or manufacturing sectors.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven approach to sales.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Technical knowledge is beneficial but not essential; they are seeking the right attitude and drive to push the business forward.
