My client operates in the metals industry, privately owned and very successful. They are looking to add to their team and seek a competent welder / fabricator who can work within a team, taking instructions to carry out daily tasks.
Responsibilities
- Repairing / fabrication of bins / skips / roro bins
- Repairing heavy plant – 360 excavators, FLT etc., including maintenance / repairs on the main scrap shredder
- There may be times where you will be required to work as part of a maintenance team outside of normal hours in the event of a major breakdown in the best interest of the company
- You would be required to work closely with your maintenance supervisor / Manager taking task instructions on a daily basis and reporting back positive / negative findings
- Using on site welders, MIG, TIG, ARC Gas cutting, for repairs and fabrication purposes
- Occasional working from drawings
Requirements
- You must have proven welding and fabrication skills
Working hours
- Monday – Friday 07:30 – 17:30
- Saturday 07:00 – 12:00 (at least 2 per month or as required in line with maintenance requirements)
Pay
- £16 per hour and authorised O/T x 1.5 (£24 ph)
